The Best Front Entrance Designs

Your front door and garden is the first thing you and your visitors see each day. It goes without saying you want your entrance to be a show stopper! From plants to front door styles, there are several ways you can ensure your entrance has curb appeal.

Florals

Florals and plants are a great way to brighten the entrance of your home. Window boxes can add a unique touch and will be sure to make heads turn. If you’re after the best-looking house on the block – spectacular front florals are for you.

So much so, we have written all about how to plant a window box before. Check it out for a step by step guide on how to create your very own ‘wow’ floral feature.

We love how the below florals frame the base of these gorgeous sash windows.

Bold Front Doors

A front door is a gateway to your house. It’s more than just a door. It can transform the look of your home. Technical details like lockset, jamb size, height and width are all things to consider when replacing your front door.

If you wish to splash some colour into your property, a bold paint choice is a brilliant way to achieve this. Timber Windows clients, Mr and Mrs Anderson did just that. Their charming stone built house from 1878 was lacking personality. In their words, it was a ‘rather glum white uPVC door’. After visiting our showroom, they opted for our Chadlington solid wood door finished in ‘Oxford Blue’. I’m sure you would agree the deep blue compliments the stone perfectly.

Outdoor Art

Who says art should be kept indoors? There are a number of stunning sculptures and ornaments you can add to your front garden and entrance.

A client of ours; Mr and Mrs Smith have done just that. Their home was once a disused stable block, they transformed it into a charming country home. Boasting wooden cottage style doors, light bright windows and a delightful front garden. Young box hedges line the pathway, which also frames the centrepiece ornament.
