Mr and Mrs Greenway’s picturesque 1840’s cottage is located in the heart of the idyllic Yorkshire Dales, and has been home to the couple and their family for 3 years.
However, when they first moved in, Mr and Mrs Greenway were focused on insulating and preparing the house for the colder months due to the traditional build of the house as well as its exposed location. Mrs Greenway recalls, “We worked on replacing the windows almost straight away, before our first winter here”.
To ensure Mr and Mrs Greenway installed insulating and beautifully styled timber windows and doors, they called upon our services. During the design process, the couple explained that it was important to them that their new wooden windows and doors matched the look and feel of their home after explaining “the old windows were hideous plastic casements’.
As a result, our quality design and installation team fitted Mr and Mrs Greenway’s cottage with beautiful sash windows and a Frenchay entrance door, both in matching shades. This was a perfect choice to help return the family’s cottage back to the look it so rightfully deserved.
Commenting on our work, Mr and Mrs Greenway explain, “We feel that windows are very important to the look and feel of a house, and this has done wonders. We’ve had two winters now, and it’s amazing the difference they’ve made, no draughts or cold, and once closed we can’t feel any effects of the outside”.
