For this particular project, it was evident that Mr and Mrs Lang were conscious of choosing the right product for their home to create significant difference to its appearance and functionality.
Though the family had previously installed PVC windows onto their property to limit any unwanted draughts and condensation, in hindsight, these PVC windows didn’t complement their home’s grandeur and style. Mrs Lang explained to our team “we put in plastic windows about 20 years ago, looking back they never looked right for the house”.
After consulting with our expert team and visiting our Harewood showroom, the Lang family decided on French Grey flush casements with a single horizontal glazing bar for the windows across their property. This gave their home a cleaner, more balanced look.
Along with wooden windows, Mr and Mrs Lang were also interested in completing a smaller renovation project which involved replacing and adding timber doors to the rear of their home. At the back of the property, we installed large expanses of glazing to maximise the view of their scenic gardens, and a mixture of bi-folding and French wooden doors were used to suit the individual rooms and their specific usage.
