Having had French doors installed within her kitchen and dining extension, Mrs Kennedy felt that whilst her glass window area was quite large, it didn’t allow as much light into the rest of her home as she would have liked. “We previously had French doors with the upper area separated by lots of chunky beams, whilst the glass area was quite large, we felt improvements could still be made”.
After coming to visit our showroom in Harewood and consulting with our expert team, it was decided smooth sliding patio doors with ‘raked’ upper frames would replace Mrs Kennedy’s existing French doors. She explains “It was suggested we might need three doors to cover this area, but Stuart at the Harewood showroom did a great job of designing them to maximise the glass area with two doors”.
During installation, Mrs Kennedy described our team as “…a real pleasure to have around and couldn’t do enough to make you feel comfortable, much more so than other tradespeople we’ve had in the house.”
Upon completion, this brand-new design improved the sight-lines of the existing space, and the glazing areas, at almost 4 metres wide, created the feeling on indoor/outdoor living for Mrs Kennedy. With wooden framing finished in a Light Oak stain, these sliding patio doors certainly make an impression and now, the extension is flooded with light at all times of the day.
Mrs Kennedy was delighted with the work we’d done to her existing extension, so much so that she explains “We’ve recommended Timber Windows to a neighbour who is also have work completed now”.

“They’ve had such an impact on the house, that we’re now looking at adding more sliding doors to another area of our home.”
