Mr and Mrs Cockcroft described their 1970’s front door as “horrendous”, which spoiled their charming home in the Yorkshire town of Castleford.
Describing the state of their current door, Mr and Mrs Cockcroft’s issues were not dissimilar to issues many homeowners encounter with old doors. They explain, “It had a rotten cill, had to be slammed shut, wouldn’t open and close properly during different seasons and was causing the hall floor to get damp”.
When choosing a new entrance door design, the couple decided on a complete transformation and opted for a spectacular Westonbirt door and a sunbird design toplight that now adorns the lavish stone entrance way. Finished in ‘Oxford Blue’ with polished chrome ironmongery, this new design was everything Mr and Mrs Cockcroft could’ve asked for and more, “The door is much more befitting of the house now”.
Commenting on the work carried out by our Timber Windows team, the couple happily describe, “the fitters prepared us for the possibility there’d be some damage to the internal woodwork, but there was nothing; they did a really good and extremely neat job”.
