Mr Fulton took full advantage of our varied wooden door range when it came to replacing the entranceway of his stylish terraced townhouse for a brand-new bold look.
After browsing our extensive range, the family decided on The Kingston door. A classic style that provides a traditional aesthetic, with its raised and fielded panels and glazed areas. The Kingston door was the perfect addition to fit with the character of the house.
Though traditional in appearance, Mr Fulton opted for a ‘Burgundy’ finish which provided a refreshing new look compared to other houses on the street. Additionally, it was necessary for this project that the toplight was retained to fit in with the design of all the homes in the street. This meant that Mr Fulton’s new door, and frame were fitted below the original panel.
When choosing the ironmongery for the new door, Mr Fulton made it clear that the choices must be an update, but also provide a sense of familiarity to the predecessor. As a result, we selected a doctor’s knocker, medium sized letter plate, profile door knob and escutcheon, all finished in Polished Chrome from our Samuel Heath collection.
Now that the front door has a glass area, natural light can flood into the hallway, and when paired with the ‘Canterbury’ etched glass, the home still retains a level of privacy, as well as being an ornate feature.
Not only has Mr Fulton received a new front door that looks amazing, but is much more secure too. Compared to his previous front door, our door range comes equipped with a multi-point locking system, engaging hook bolts around its perimeter which is a welcome update and adds to the feeling of security in the home.
