After seeing a local advert for Timber Windows, Mr and Mrs Devine decided to take a trip to our Harewood showroom to see if we could offer a solution for their late 1700’s cottage in Huby, Yorkshire.
On the front of their property were sash windows that didn’t work properly due to years of thick gloss paint build up. Mr and Mrs Divine decided it was time to replace the windows.
The project involved a combination of our hidden spring sash, traditional flush casement windows and our Cottage Window which has slimmed down sections to maximise light.
Mr and Mrs Devine were most impressed with the way the lounge window was matched with the original. We carefully tied it in with the windows seat and inner lining to keep the character of the original.
“After more than 20 years of living with bedroom windows that wouldn’t open because of layers of old paint and broken window sashes, we are able at long last, to enjoy refreshing cool breezes. We are more than thrilled with them” says Mrs Devine.
“Once again many thanks for a first class job done with the minimum of disruption.”
