After converting a disused stable block, an old granary and an unloved farm building into their family home almost 20 years ago, Mr and Mrs Smith felt that the softwood windows they initially used were deteriorating beyond repair. The seals were poor and becoming draughty, the stays and hinges needed attention and the overall appearance of their windows were looking dark and dated.
Changing from dark stained windows to a pale colour can be daunting, especially when you’ve lived with the same colour for 2 decades, so Mr and Mrs Smith visited the Harewood Showroom to find some inspiration on what would work with the colour of their brickwork. “The products were displayed in a high-quality showroom which displayed various paint finishes. Knowledgeable staff were on hand to help us choose the correct window furnishings and stays”.
Choosing our ‘Straw’ painted flush casement design for their windows and cottage style doors has transformed this rural home beyond recognition. Once dark and featureless windows now reflect natural light into the property and lift the whole appearance of the building.
Mr Smith said of the experience – “It has exceeded my expectations both in quality and looks, which has now pushed us into completing other improvements in the home. All in all, using Timber Windows made a large job so stress free and I believe it has added value to the property. The house is a pleasure to live in and it’s stunning to look at again”

“Installation was very professional with people who were a pleasure to have around, providing a level of service I could have only dreamed of”
